Whether you’re here for a fortnight or a full season, it’s worth having a few numbers saved before you need them. Sotogrande sits within the municipality of San Roque, and the villages of Guadiaro, Pueblo Nuevo, Torreguadiaro and San Enrique are all a short drive away, so we’ve pulled together the essentials for the whole area. Save this page, screenshot it, or just keep it handy in your phone. Hopefully you’ll never need most of it.

General Emergencies
The 112 line is the one to remember above all others. It’s the standard emergency number right across Europe, operators speak English, and they’ll route you to whoever you need.

For anything serious, dial 061 or 112 first and let the professionals decide where you need to go.
Pharmacies
These five pharmacies take it in turns to stay open late or overnight on a rota system (farmacia de guardia), so there’s always one open somewhere nearby even outside normal hours. Most local noticeboards and pharmacy windows display the current rota, or you can check with any of the pharmacies above.

A Few Practical Tips
- If you don’t speak Spanish, 112 is always your best first call. English-speaking operators are standard.
- Save the private clinic numbers too. Public hospitals are excellent but can mean a longer wait, and a private clinic with English-speaking staff can be a lot less stressful in an emergency.
- Pop these numbers into your phone under an “ICE” or “Emergency” contact before you need them rather than after.
